IIPC Research Clinic #4

The IIPC organises research clinics, which serve as thematic discussion forums and platforms for planning joint research projects. The fourth clinic focuses on Thatcherism, Neo-Liberalism and Popular Culture. The presentations will be in Finnish.

THATCHERISMI, POPULAARIKULTTUURI JA UUSLIBERALISMI

IIPC:n neljäs Research Clinic järjestetään keskiviikkona 30.10.2013 klo 16–19. Tapahtuman paikkana on Turun yliopiston Minerva-rakennuksen (Kaivokatu 12) seminaarihuone E123. Tämänkertaisen klinikan teema on ”Thatcherismi, populaarikulttuuri ja uusliberalismi”.

Tapahtumassa kuullaan kolme puheenvuoroa, minkä jälkeen seminaarin teemoista keskustellaan pienryhmätyöskentelyn muodossa. Alustajina ovat dosentti, apulaisprofessori Suvi Salmenniemi Turun yliopiston Sosiologian oppiaineesta; dosentti, yliopistonlehtori Kari Kallioniemi Turun yliopiston Kulttuurihistorian oppiaineesta sekä tutkija Rami Mähkä Turun yliopiston Kulttuurihistorian oppiaineesta.
