We are pleased to welcome videogame researcher Maria B. Garda (PhD, University of Łódź) to our open student seminar. The seminar is organised for all students of University of Turku who are working on a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or postgraduate thesis on topics that relate to games, videogames, or other ludic phenomena. To apply, choose one of the following:

1) Write a manuscript of 3-5 pages of your ongoing work, or
2) Write a 200-word abstract of your ongoing work plus prepare a presentation to be held at the seminar.

Send all written material to [vmmkar@utu.fi] before 28.2. No more than eight students are selected. If more than eight apply, the selection is executed by first-in-first-served basis. Dr. Garda will survey all the accepted material and provide the students with personal feedback. The seminar is chaired by Veli-Matti Karhulahti (University of Turku). By participating the seminar and writing a revised version of the presented material (based on feedback) students earn 1 ECTS.
